The Chamber of Greater Springfield is presenting a unique opportunity for local, civic-minded individuals who are considering running for local office. The program will assist participants in determining whether to throw their hat in the ring.
The Chamber is a non-partisan, business association which does not endorse, or support candidates for elected office. However, the Chamber believes strongly in the principles of good government and hopes to increase the number of qualified candidates who are committed to advancing our community.
During the three sessions participants will meet with current and former elected officials and community advocates to learn about the process of running for local elected office. The program will cover many of the major steps in running for office, and how to become better equipped to serve as a candidate, and elected official.
Tuition is $100 per person which includes all sessions, printed materials and Graduation Reception.
